Troubleshooting LeaksUpdated 7 months ago

Before we start: Make sure the Residue Drawer is emptied. It should be emptied every 4-5 uses if not it will leak from the front 😓

If you are experiencing a leak with your system, it will likely come from one of the areas in the image below:

1. Top Spigot O-ring

If you see a leak from the top of the cap when the unit is running, it's likely that the Top Spigot O-ring is to blame. Make sure it is intact and in place. If it is missing or damaged, please get in touch with us to request a new one.

2. Top Cap

If liquid comes out from under the top cap, onto the sides of the bottle, the Top Cap Seal is the likely culprit.

1. Make sure the cap is on tight.

2. Check that the seal is in place, you can use a blunt object to reset it like this.
Get in touch if the Top Cap continues to leak.

3. Rear Reservoir

If the rear reservoir is leaking, check that there are no cracks and that it is not damaged, and make sure that it is sitting flush against the system.

Get in touch if the Reservoir continues leaking.

4. Bottom Cap

If the leak is coming from the rim of the Bottom Cap, it's likely the Bottom Cap Seal is the issue.

1. Make sure the cap is on tight.

2. Check that the seal is in place, you can use a blunt object to reset it like this.

3. If the leak remains or becomes a recurring issue, please reach out.

5. Under the unit

Make sure the leak is not coming from the point above. Any leak in or around the bottle will end up in the bottle base and eventually empty under the unit, so it's important to make sure the leak is not coming from any of the areas mentioned above.

Check the O-ring:
If the leak is not coming from the Top Cap or the rim of the Bottom Cap, it is possible it is coming from the Bottom Spigot O-ring. Verify that it is in place, and not damaged. If it is, please reach out so we can send you a new one.

Empty the base

If you are experiencing a small leak, it could be that some liquid accumulated in the bottle base. You can tilt the system forward on top of a sink to empty any remaining liquid.

Conclusion:

If the steps above do not resolve your issue, please reach out! We make sure to have you Spärkeling as soon as possible!
